it depends on the reasons why you broke up.
if that person has cheated, lied and treated you badly over and over again then you should not get back together.
in some situations, loves comes at a wrong time. since loves does not guarantee couples to be together thus the break-up. in these case they can get give each other a chance if they meet again and if both parties are willing to try again.

IMO, you should only go back if you're willing to go back to everything that made your relationship both good and bad. If you couldn't accept a certain aspect of the relationship - if it was bad enough to break you up - then most likely the same thing will break you up again. Both people need to change and become more accepting and tolerant of the differences - he would not be the only person needing to "bring something to the table".

You should never get back with an ex ever. Once an ex, always an ex. You can never change people. To change people, you have to change who they were instead of changing people in the present.

yes you should get back with an ex if you still love him...i am dating my ex again and we have been together for 3 months and we love each other. He needs to just try to talk to you about how he as changed. He shouldnt really have to try to bring anything to the table you just have to have faith in him that he has changed because means that you really love him if you can trust him until he gives you a reason to not trust him. like my boyfriend got sent to a detention center and got in a lot of trouble but i knew i still loved and i was the one who wanted him back because i knew he changed because i knew he screwed up then he would get locked up until he turned 21 so yea guys can change for the ones they loved. my boyfriend wanted me back for so long and that is one of the reasons why he changed...so just talk to him...and Good Luck!

Depends on why you broke up! If it was major issues,most likely they will not change!(drugs, alcohol,cheating,abuse,gambling,lieing) otherwise it might be o.k.
