Yeah you can but it's gonna be tough. I've been in a long distance relationship for a year now and it's the hardest thing ever not being able to be with each other (every day hurts so much). Get a webcam and MSN Messenger then you'll be able to speak to and see each other. Maybe when you've both left school (if you already haven't), you could go to a college or Uni nearer each other, or get a flat closer together. Best of luck, and i really mean that x

I would say that in all probability you won't 'make it' more because of your age than the distance - although my parents met at 14 in my experience most people meet their partner's much later in life (I'm 34) because you are still developing as a person and for you to continue to like let alone love the same things/people at 30 as you do at 16 would be a bit weird to be honest.
However I don't think that should stop you loving each other now. I am aware I sound like a cynical old bag and what you really want is for people to say 'Hell, yes go for it!' But I'd like to say 'Go for it' but don't spoil it by expecting too much, enjoy it for now - it must be lovely to feel that somewhere out there is someone who loves you - because that is all you can ever do and that's all good relationships ever are - enjoying what you've got right now. Tomorrow will bring what it brings and you can't take out insurance on love.

Possibly. It is true that it's your age rather than the distance that will be a deciding factor. Long distance relationships can work but they are hard and you have to be very commited and trust the other person. Good luck.

Stop worrying and enjoy what you have, because believe me the worry will wreck it all. Just be thankful you have found love no matter how fleeting- there isn't enough love in the world as it is, so any you can get is a blessing!

Whether it works out or not is not something you should worry about too much now.
Just enjoy the time you have and make the most of what you have.
Good luck

i went out with a guy from essex and i live in dublin and when he went home for a couple of months we grew apart so i recommend that you should stay friends for the moment and not to put your life on hold and see what happens when he comes back ......

Enjoy yourself. You have your entire life ahead. Make the time you spend with each other special. You sure can make it if you both have the understanding. You are still young...
