I have someone very special to me that might be visiting soon, i live in NJ, but she loves NYC. any good places to go to visit and show her a great time? like a whole day kind thing.

Go to 42nd st and buy a ticket for the bus tours; you can hop on and off....goes all over...little Italy, Chinatown, The Village, Harlem, etc.; You can spend the whole day just traveling around experiencing the diversity that is the CITY that never sleeps!

Great suggestions all. But here's a freebe and one of the most stunning vistas on planet earth. It's best seen at night so wait for dark. Get on the FDR northbound way down town. Then as you approach 23rd street it curves to the left and reveals all of midtown Manhattan in one fell swoop. It is a testament to the achievements of man. Empire State Building. Chrysler Building. UN. Many Bridges. A couple million apartments. It is a mind blowing sight. I've taken many people around this bend for the sole reason of seeing this view of Manhattan and I hope to do it a couple hundred times more. You can exit the FDR at 42nd st and be in the middle of every thing. But do it! No other sight like it on Earth.

With out a doubt CBGB it's a music club where the punk revolution in america. Take her Central park and for some food go to Pom Fris... it's a belgium fry resturant.. all they serve is belgium style french fries but it's a great place to eat at. It's a big city and there is so much to do just walking around the city will show alot to do

I'm originally from NJ. I live in NY now. Go to Ticketmaster.com and see if there's a show, ball game, or something that she may be interested in. Also I don't know how old you are but there are clubs and restaurants all over. citysearch.com may help to find the clubs, bars, and restaurants. GOod LuCk
