Islam has nothing to do with Honor killing. A single or few Muslims cannot represent Islam. The Holy Qurran is fully representing Islam. I challenge you to prove to me a single verse from Qurran prescribing honor killing. India is a Hindu country there are a lot of honor killings in India, Nepal Myanmar etc too. There are black sheep in every society. Dont get brainwashed by the media.

To the idiot saying the pope was right...the pope was paraphrasing a past pope!
To the one saying people in the US tend to be wrong...well, not most, only the ignorant people who don't do their own research...see above.
Oh, and I completely agree that all religions have honor killings. Christians did a lot of that in the Crusades, spreading their faith by force. Kind of like taking over a country because you don't agree with it.

people in the states tend to be ignorant of anything not western.this is not an islamic problem.its a culture problem.not only muslims participate in this cultural abnormality.there are many faiths in those parts of the world. and many faiths practice it.but if they in the west are ignorant to that info,or care to dismiss it then what good is the truth when it reaches them.

I am a Christian, but I would like to respond to your question because they wont honestly... The Pope had it right. Islam, unlike any other religion teaches to spread it's self by force. It teaches to kill anyone who will not convert. It teaches to kill anyone who does not follow it. The response of islam to anything that is opposed to it is violence. It's all through it's own teachings. How can they deny it?

They are right up there with Andrea Yates and abortion clinic bombings as being tragedies perpetuated by fringe elements who do not represent the majority of those in the community.

honour killings is a problem of the asian sub continet across all religions, nothing to do with the teachings of islam
