According to Christianity, animals, like women, were meant to serve humanity--they have no souls.
Now you see why I prefer Paganism to religions of patriarchy.

If God did not wish for animals to die then why do carnivorous animals exist? surely God would apply the same rules to all his creatures. The human jaw is designed specifically to be omnivorous. We have our molars for crushing hard vegetables and bones. We have our front teeth which have the sole purpose of cutting meat into smaller bites. We also only have a single stomach. A vast majority of vegetables do not have enough calories to sustain a human either. I admit some exist capable of supplying the needs calorie wise but overall in order to operate our bodies properly meat is a requirement.

Dude. We live in an ecosystem full of carnivores, omnivores and herbivores. Life eats life, and how is a plant different as a creation of god than an animal? Humans are not herbivores. Humans are omnivores. Ask any biologist. If there is a god or gods that created us, then we were created omnivores. If not, we are still omnivores, your superstitions and sensibilities notwithstanding. I have to go now and put the talapia filets on the grill.

God did not say that killing an animal and eating it is wrong. In fact he laid out laws regarding which animals were good to eat and humane methods for killing them. He even required that animals be killed as sacrifices to atone for sins.
So your ideals, while sensitive and thoughtful, are not biblically valid.
PS: Christianity does not claim that women have no souls.

A: Christians don't sacrifice anything, Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice....
B: It's called the food chain... Nature, nothing to do with God, atheists eat too.

life is life is life is life.
and life (ALL life) feedson, breeds, and becomes sustinance for other life.
the problem is the quality of the "food"'s life prior to becoming "food"
