I think the telethons are all a scam. Jerry Lewis is a jerk who exploits these children and their families. Don't think for a moment that he's not getting most of that money. They've raised so much over the years and they still don't have a cure? Of course not, because it's more fun to keep having the telethons. This is a HUGE scam. My aunt worked for the telethon once and the people who are answering the phones on air -are all fake! They tell them to answer the phone and look like they're talking! Don't buy into that crap.
