It's tricky, talk to your friend about it "open and honest" sometimes it's not a big deal others it's a disaster. I have dated a friend's ex and friends dated mine, was i angry a little i got over it and were still friend's. Age has a lot to do with it, the younger the harder, when your older it's easier "kinda" cause a true friend would want to see you happy. I was at a wedding this weekend where we friends with the groom and 3 of us dated the bride at different time's. That's how you get to meet and know people.

there are certain lines that you shouldn't really cross however if you really like the ex & both of you feel the same way about each other, you can talk to your close friend..your best friend will understand if you really feel a thing about the ex..but if you are just dating the ex to know how it is to be the ex's partner, then don't bother if you don't want to lose your close friend. if the ex is not really worth it, don't bother!

Depends if you really want to stay as friends or take to up to the next level (or down a few levels).

Look at the worst and bes-case scenarios before u move ahead.

talk to the best friend about and see how the bf feels about and if they're ok with it then go ahead.
