I just got my first parrotlet and I dont know if it's adjusting well. Today is the second day.. and it isnt eating the fruits or veggies but it ate something cause it was pooping. It isnt playing with it's new toys. But it did let me take him out and pet him.

She's probably a little freaked. All she knew was where she was before and now she is "somewhere else" She hasn't been around you long enough to know that it will be terrific, so she's a little hesitant with the unknown.
Did you finds out what she was fed where you got her? Perhaps knowing what she was eating before would be helpful in her adjustment. Sort of like "comfort food", it will be familiar to her and she'll eat that until you can get her adjusted to the things you want to feed her.
I take it she's very young...
If she is young, she doesn't know how to play with toys yet. This is where you come into play. It's up to you to teach her. Just spend time with her and show her the toys. Hold her and the toy and let her touch them with her beak and mess around with them if she wants to.
Showing her that toys are fun by using them with your interaction with her will teach how to play.

hi birds need time to adjust if i purchase a new bird it is caged and left alone for two weeks,apart from feeding , watering and a casual hello in passing.it then gets to know its new home and will be quite happy
