I think it is the same as a face to face encounter. Initally people put on their "best" whether it be a front or not. Then once you stay together for awhile, you begin to really know eachother. It all takes time and I don't think that people should take what they 'see' for the first time on the internet and in real life is what the true person is like.
I do believe it's possible to find true love on the internet. however, God means for you to meet the person you are meant to be with is how it will happen.
I met my husband on-line five years ago. We didn't meet through a dating website, we just happened to be in the same chat room and were friends first. Our friendship grew to be something more special (well obviously if it's now a marriage hehehe)
My best friend Sharon met her husband so many years ago on the internet. They were a long distance relationshp. She was in Hawaii and he was in Canada. They would see eachother a couple times a year and after dating for 8 years, she moved to canada and they got married...and have been married for 3 years already.

With any type of dating you take a risk. Even when you first meet a guy they don't show you all the dirty laundry. you know how it is..starts out wonderful then after three months he "changes". Love is love no matter where you find it. i believe it is possible to find Love on the Internet if the people are sincere, just like in person." Life is a gamble and love is a game "

I can't see why not. I haven't tried it myself, because I'm not available but I have come across some interesting people from time to time, just through communications on the net. Never met them in person so I don't know what they are really like. But you never know who you just might meet! You can meet real losers anywhere. In fact talking with people over the net gives you a better chance of knowing them without the commitment. Just ask the right questions and ask them again at other times and maybe in different ways. See if they are consistent with their answers and with how they communicate with you. I think in addition to trying to meet people in other ways, what have you got to lose? Good Luck to you!

I think you can talk to someone and be interested in them over the internet. However, I would not suggest using the "L" word until you have met them face to face and developed a "real life" relationship. It is so easy to lie about everything through your computer!

Yes, I do, and I did. I met my husband on line in a chat room 11 years ago. He was in Australia and I was in the U.S. I totally fell in love with him as a person, and he did the same with me. We never exchanged photos, so we knew our love was real. Long story short, we are now married, have been for 10 years and have 2 great kids. Every day with him is a gift.

No, not really, you can never find true love on the internet at all. because of the fact that there is no way that you can really know who is the opposite side of the computer.

Finding true love on the Internet is definitely possible... I have "found" it so many times and trust me every single time it was "true" .... lol
On a serious note..... I think its difficult to judge a person on the net so meeting in person is more appropriate.

Internet is a good place to "meet" someone, but you can only fall in love when you get together in person.

I found my wife on the internet. She was there waiting for me all along and the internet helped me find her halfway round the world. We're now married 3 years.
