The best thing to do is ask before you start snapping photos most will let you as long as you are not on the gaming floor by the table games but to make sure ask the pit boss he is the fancy dressed one walking arround or if you are actually staying at the casino ask while you are checking in what the casinos camera policy is they are all different so better be safe than sorry.

Depends on the casino, and what specifically you're trying to take a picture of. Ask a manager before trying it.
If you're taking a picture of your family standing in front of an indoor fountatin or some other tourist-trap-ish thing, and you go out of your way to make sure you don't get anyone else's face in the picture, you're probably OK.
But if you try to take pictures of the games themselves, or other people, you can run into problems.

It's all about protecting your customer base. No one would like to be punting the banks takings one night and see their picture on the front page the next day. I'm a casino Manager.

Some casinos will let you take pictures from a distant. Others will have you leave and take camera. I have taken pictures in MGM before, but not up close.

Depends on the casino, if you are talking about on the table. I don't think they would care if you take pictures off the table. Ask the pit boss before you do.

You are not supposed to and if you are caught you can have your camers taken away. I believe the acception is if you are not taking pictures of the machines, tables and other gaming aspects. Like if you are of to the side against a wall with the name of the casino taking a family picture sort of thing. They are allowed in the restaurants.

Last year I stayed at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. I always had my camera with me! I have pictures of me and my boyfriend playing the slot machines! No one said anything to us about the camera.
