Absolutely true.
The mountains of information that clearly show that evolution has and continues to happen utterly destroys the childish notion that some magic sky-pixie did it all.
But they'll say ignorant things like "evolution is only a theory" conveniently forgetting that gravity is only a theory too. Same with thermodynamics and relativity. Though none would argue that these forces exist.
They think they can pick and choose the definition of "theory" they way they pick and choose the passages they want to read in the 'wholly babble'. Well science doesn't work like that I'm sorry to say.
Science deals with REALITY and religion deals with fantasy.
That is the difference that creationists conveniently forget.

That Catholic Church (as approved by the Pope) and the Jewish theological community gave full approval to Darwin's Theories.
The state nothing contained in Darwin's Theories conflict with the Bible or God or Creationism.
Darwin was not a Randomist. His theory was well thought out.
The heart of Darwin's theory is that things evolve through Natural Selection.
Note that word: Selection.
Choice.
Not random.
Not a throw of the Dice.
Choice.
Choice implies there was more than one way to go and Nature picked that way.
Natural Selection keeps very close to the modern concept of Intellegent Design
Natural Selection implies a type of intellegece or at least a system of checks and balances.
Selection is obvious. It is a choice.
Now, don't bark at me, bark at Darwin. He said it.
Science accepts it.
The Church accepts it.
This think with Monkeys and Apes is NOT Darwinism nor would Darwin proabaly approve of the connection. Not even science does.
Science now believes the various humaoids existed side by side in the time line.
Science says man was probably a discrete species.
Man was Naturally Selected -- picked out of the pack -- to have this place in the world.
Nature picked man
There was a choice and MAN got selected.
Whose hand, figuratively speaking, made that choice!
Let's get that clear again.
Darwin, recieved the Catholic Seal of Approval. As such Catholics are permitted to read Origin of the Species and Darwin's dissertation on the Evolution of things, which came later in time.

Carbon dating has been proven to be unreliable.
There is no transitional fossils to prove evolution.
Evolution is merely a 'theory', which the dictionary says a theory is a GUESS. Once a scientific theory is proven, it becomes a law. Well, it is still called the Theory of Evolution, not the Law of Evolution.
The fossile record proves there is no evolution.
There is no DNA evidence to prove evolution.
Evolutionists are liars.

They believe that evolution and religion aren't compatible which isn't the case at all unless you're a fundmentalist. They don't understand how evolution works. They hear propoganda and lies which fit in with what they already believe and lap it up. If they took the time to truly learn and understand they couldn't deny the truth.
And anyone who says that there is legitimate evidence for an alternate theory is nothign but wrong. There is no reliable evidence for a theory other than evolution. There are a lot of ideas dressed up to look like science but they are not true science.
And "Melvin C" I googled "Newton's 2nd Law of Dynamic" and what do you know? You're an idiot! I'll assume you meant the 2nd law of thermodynamics. Way to present and old and tired argument. Is that all you have? The argument doesn't apply to life on Earth because Earth isn't a closed system.

From the very first answer:
"Listen - its harder from me to believe that I crawled out of the ocean as an amoeba and then evolved into a rational, smart individual - than to believe that God exists and He made everything. That is just my take. Thanks."
That explains it all. It's hard for them to believe something like evolution without having the appropriate scientific background information. They simply choose to believe the simplest answer, not the correct one.

I'm a Christian who thinks that evolution theory *might* be able to be blended with Biblical doctrine. I'm not going to fall on my sword over Creationism.
However, I do wish that the media and press would give fair credence to alternate viewpoints to evolution, as there are some fascinating and well-researched alretnative theories to world origins out there.

They think that evolution theory makes their story of the beginning of the world false. I on the otherhand think that evolution supports Genesis. Maybe God did not create the Universe in seven days, but in seven billion years. That is about how long it has been since the Big Bang. The way it was written in Genesis was probably a way of simplifying it for people to understand. Billion would not mean anything thousands of years ago.

If you sincerely know what is evolution, you will know that the missing link is far more than any given doubt in creation.
If evolution is scientific, any school children will know that science can be proven by experiment. But we can not have half ape, half man sample, nor any new form of man that can fly (so we don't even need budget airline).
If you really study science, you will know that evolution go against the theory of Newton 2nd law of dynamic. (Those who believe in science, go check it out yourselves).
If it is true, Dawin will not have deny it before he died. He confessed that this is but a theory that he dreamed out. There is no basis.
I wonder since when, can a baseless theory can enter the science book of a stupid nation called " . . . ica " . Ok nevermind. Don't mentioned about that nation.
So, I studied science. I am a trained mechanic. However, I can never accept that stupid theory as science. They are purely nonsense. Too many question I have asked and find no answer.
It is thus much easier to accept that God created the world, and he loves us.

Technically, if I rub carbon paper into some ammonia and vinegar, I should get life...
Nope. I get a messy petri dish with black stains on it.
I put a frayed electric cord into it, to simulate lightning... and I've melted my petri dish, but still no life.
I look at animals like Archaeopteryx, and I see a branch-hopping toothed bird, akin to a humming bird-starling cross, not a lizard-bird intermediate species. I look at Lucy, I see an ape. I look at Neanderthal, I see a human.
I see lots of successful so-called 'intermediate species', however, if evolution gave wings to bats, why don't we see bats that were incapable of flight due to wing size? Why don't we see any land-based wingless bats? Why don't we see failed evolutions, like long-fingered but no-membraned bats arising before membraned-bats?
And of special interest to me... mankind is one of the youngest species... yet, we were the first to create fire, and the wheel. Why has no other species been able to do so? They've been around millions of years before us... and yet, there is little difference, physically or intellectually, between a modern animal and its earliest ancestor of its species.

Not all Christians doubt evolution, just the ones that believe that the bible is the 100% true "inerrant word of God". Such Christians do not want to admit that their disbelief in evolution is just a matter of faith and not based in reason.
