I recently met the perfect girl for me online. We have a lot in common and after exchanging several pictures we know we find each other attractive. We've chatted for up to four hours in the past and I think this girl may very well be my "soul mate". The only problem is that she lives a long way away from me. Is it possible to start out a meaningful relationship as a distance relationship? I definitely want to travel to meet her once we get to know each other and if we really hit it off I would move to her city eventually. How long should I chat with her before traveling to meet? I'm thinking a month personally. Is it possible to fall in love with someone that you've only chatted with online?

i think it really is. it sounds like u have something very wonderfull with this girl which could develop into a serious relationship. i think u shuld wait untill u both feel ready too meet whatever time that might take. i met one of my best frnds on a chat line and we are very very close. he lives far away too and untill he got a car i rearly got to see him. anyways i would say this to u, u may find it hard talking face to face at first as u would be used to not seeing

I chatted with a guy almost about 1 year and we had the same problem as you..long distance! but neither of us could travel to another at that time but we REALLY REALLY liked each other like really loving each other!and we would chat even ALL night but I'm telling you after this time he gave up on trying for really seeing each other cause it was nearlly impossible and he got a new gf at the end so if you both think you can meet each other in real life go for it but if not don't even think about it the more you think the more you get attached to it and it'll be so hard to let it go as you should at the end!good luck I really really wish you meet each other and make it good cause i didn't:-)

Yes it is possible to fall in love with someone that you have only chatted with online. I fell in love with someone that I only chatted online with and then eventually we met in person and we have been together for 5 years and are getting married in May of 2007

I met my man online. We talked for a year and then we met. It kinda skidded for awhile as I am a big scaredy cat. ... but we continued to talk and the second time we met in person I had worked it out in my head and heart and was ready to accept a real realtionship. We have been together 4 years...not one arguement. Go for it.

honey, for all you know she's a he and is sending you his sister's pictures. A lonely person can fall in love easily on line, but it never works. ANYBODY can look good on line. There are just too many variables that can't be measured on line. You are wasting your time and setting yourself up for a huge disappointment. Get out of the house and go meet a real girl.
