Well, whoever you checked with was wrong. The Gospel accounts were written within a generation of Jesus' ascension, and used by the various churches scattered throughout the Middle East and parts of Europe and northern Africa. No king became involved in the churches' activities until Constantine, which was 2 or so centuries after the fact.
Now as to your question about Jesus only dying for the sins of His contemporaries, Paul agreed with you. As it is written: "If we have set our hopes on Christ in this life only, we deserve more pity than any other people." (I Corinthians 15:19) While Paul was speaking about another issue, it still applies to your question. We should be pitied if we follow Jesus for no reason. We could be reveling in our sin if we had no hope for a future.
However, with all that being said, we do have a hope for the future. First, those who have received Him, know that He lives in them, and confirms that hope. Second, we have the Scriptures, which people have tried to either destroy or discredit for millennia. This one in particular answers part of your question: "However, this will happen to each person in the proper order: first Christ, then those who belong to Christ when he comes. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has done away with every ruler and every authority and power. For he must rule until God puts all his enemies under his feet." (I Corinthians 15:23-25)

Jesus atoned and died for the sins of every man and woman who ever lived, and who is living now and who will come to live on this earth EVERYONE. The thing is that the LDS faith or Mormon's have the full gospel of Jesus Christ. We know more about Jesus Christ and his teachings then all other denominations. Reason is because we have restored keys of the gospel that was lost during the apostasy.

think about it this way: What if there was some baby being born while Jesus was dying? Would it be covered or not? There's no line to be drawn. He died for everyone. God wouldn't say to that baby 'oops, you were born 2 minutes after He died, you can't be saved'. I agree with the Scripture that says He died (AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD! He's not dead any more!) for everyone.

Good question. But don't worry, Jesus promised is to be with us until the end of time. That is very long.
On top of that, he too say, his word will not changed.
So, there is sort of warrenty until the end of time. Yet to expired. Don't worry. Have fun by just believing.

No. It has not expired - the Bible (God's Holy Word) is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow. It never changes.

jesus didn't die for anybody's sins. last i checked, the bible clearly says that sacrificing a human is an abomination to G-d, and that no human may be punished for the sins of another. i really doubt G-d changed his mind all of a sudden.

1 John 2:2, "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."
If you are on this planet, you're covered.

that is a good question, jesus is definately dead, they masscred him, that means all the books are all outdated,if we lost the war the monetary ruling party would have discretion for the religions it would financially support so the coupons and books are relevant to money and the dominating denominations behind it repecting god
