im just wondering if this is why i havent found someone. i do smoke cigs and i know it smells. but would u date a guy if he smoked. i mean if he was nice and really sweet and knew how to treat a lady.

You sound like a really great guy! I know they say it's bad for your health, but hey, so is flying by air or going abroad on holidays these days!
So my answer is Yes! I would date a guy even if he smoked. That has nothing to do with my feelings for the guy.
Sure enough I'll worry about his health and mine, just in case we fall into the category of the unfortunate few who get "whacked" by lung cancer; but besides that, I will love him every day of my life.
What matters to me is how he treats me, and if he'll at least pretend to be faithful to me, and just love me back!
There is someone out there for you, who will love you the way you are, cigars or no cigars! You are nice, sweet and can treat a girl well, what more can a girl or woman ask for?
Hang in there buddy. Your lady is just around the corner!!!
Oh........ by the way, I'm a Lady!!!!
That is a good incentive for those who mind so much about your smoking!!! But I'll still say, look for someone who will accept you and love you the way you are!!!!

I wouldn't date a girl who smoked and I wouldn't expect or try to force her to stop, just for me. I'm a guy who use to smoke but I wised up, finally.
Smoking is THE dumbest thing you can do to your health and to those around you. It's not worth it. Try to stop as soon as you can. Put the amount of money you spend on cigs in a piggy bank each day and see how much money you have at the end of each month or the year. Then buy yourself something really cool with the cash ;)

I marrried him 30 years ago and still love him . However ,I didn't know about the dangers of second hand smoke to myself and my children then . So I think that today I would have to rethink it. For my children if nothing else. They are all boys and grew up in their daddy's image ...they smoke, too.
Sometimes, hubby smokes outdoors. I wished he had a little more concern and respect for the rest of us however and take his smoke outdoors always. I leave the windows cracked in the winter.
I wouldn't reccommend getting involved with a smoker if you don't smoke . It's harmful and will just pass to your children.

I would have to find out why he was a smoker, knowing how it's so bad for your health. Is he trying to commit suicide? Is he addicted to it? Does he have an oral fixation? Does he think he's immortal? Then I would try to help him to quit if that's what he wanted. if not, I'd have to say good-bye because I'm not putting my health or our future children's health in jeopardy. The thing to remember is that women when they meet you don't know how nice and sweet you are. They probably can't even see how cute you really are through all the smoke, plus your teeth and skin are yellow.

I will never date a smoker.My avatar is ugly but Im not.I like the disguise.I get asked out alot and if a man smokes its a huge turnoff.The smell reeks.his hair his clothes his skin reek of smoke.Quit if you truly are a nice polite guy who doesnt cuss all the time this could likely be why you are alone.Looks are really last on the list for most girls its personality ,cleanliness,employment as in have a job and then looks.

I always told everyone that I would never date someone who smokes b/c I don't smoke and it smells and tastes really bad. BUT - I'm in love with my b/f and he smokes. It doesn't bother me b/c of how much I love him. It doesn't make you a bad person. He just doesn't smoke in his house, which I like, and he brushes his teeth a lot, which makes it better. But Smoke can be a major turnoff.

I would totally love a guy who was sweet and really nice. He could smoke cigars. He could smoke them through his nose or put them in his ears. Cigars smell delicious, and the "sweet" and "nice" and knowing how to treat a lady would simply make things all the more romantic.

personally, i wouldn't. I can't stand the smell (or taste) of cigs. It just turns me off big time. This may be why you haven't found someone, but most likely it's just cause that special someone hasn't come around yet. If she's meant for you, she probably won't care if you smoke

Somking is not the problem...do you think that maybe you seem to desperate? that is a turn off. Some girls would not like the smoking thing....just quit! It's better for your health anyway! Then you'll have more money to spend on a girl. lol

when a girl dates you, her hair and clothes smell like smoke too and also just being in your car or place. Breath is the least of it. Buy some patches and try to quit. You can do it and the right girls is worth it. Good luck! :)
