I Mean WHERE

We spent out honeymoon at a bed and breakfast in the mountains. It was so nice - the environment, the location, the comfort (not like a hard hotel bed), and the owners were very nice. We liked it so much, every year (for the past 10 years), we take our anniversary to a bed and breakfast at a different place. In most cases, they are less expensive than a hotel and so much nicer and less crowded.

Strangely enough most people spend their honeymoon directly after the wedding.

Though I do have friends who had their honeymoon 2 weeks before their wedding.

TO THOSE THAT ARE GIVING PLACE AS ANSWERS - THE QUESTION WAS WHEN NOT WHERE

We ended up going about 6 months after we got married during spring break. My husband is a teacher and our wedding was right before school started.

We spent 2 nights in Gatlinburg, TN (wouldn't recommend the town, but the mountains were beautiful --- Rainbow Falls hike was very difficult, but worth it...Ripley's Aquarium was nice too). Then we Spent 4 nights over in Asheville, NC (highly recommend @ Willow Winds), checked out some area gardens, the Biltmore Estate, etc... Then we spent 2 nights in Murfreesboro, TN (Nashville Area) and visited my brother before heading home.

It was a very nice relaxing honeymoon. And our cabin in Asheville ROCKED! I could live in that cabin, never go to work again, and be happy.

When? Or where? We had both families in town which was very important to us, and our work schedules didn't allow time for a honeymoon. Our wedding was on a saturday evening, sunday morning we went to church and spent the rest of the day de-compressing with our families. We finally took a road trip to Charleston and stayed on the beach on Isle Of Palms for a week on our first anniversary.

I went to Peigeon Forge, TN. We had so much fun. We spent just a few nights and left the day after the wedding. The first day we went on Go-carts it was a blast, and the second night we had tickets to go see a dinner and a show for Black Bear Jamboree it was so much fun and the third night we had tickets for another dinner and a show at the Dixie Stampede. Then we came home. Everybody told us we wouldn't want to do anything except stay in our rooms since we were virgins. Wrong!!!!

We went to Mayan Riviera, Mexico. The resort we stayed at was just beautiful and we are planning on going back again.

The most important thing is that no matter where you go, it has to be appealing to you, regardless of the cost.

Check out the resot called Barcelo Maya

As soon as the reception was done we drove the three hours to Chattanooga, TN (we lived near Nashville) and spent 10 days there seeing sights and relaxing together.
