Hello, (ANS) There are places on the earths surface which contain deposits of Iron ore which are strongly magnetized, and the result is that the normal magnetic field is disrupted i.e. a compass doesn't actually point to the correct true north pole. **These are magnetic anomalies where normal magnetic field behavior is distorted. **A compass also will NOT behave as normal at or close to the physical north pole of the earth. At one demonstration how magnets work the Doctor has put magnets on my temples, that really depends just where the headache is that is where to apply. Also good to you use is bio freeze
