Everyday I read here it is like copies of the same questions said 2 dozen different ways.
What is love? This is not rocket science. All those answers can be found easy in the movie Forest Gump. Forest loved Jenny. He always loved her. He would not put any other woman before her. He would do anything, give anything, sacrifice all that her life be better, no matter how many times she yelled at him, rejected him, rebuked him, or no matter what she did, or how many times she f*** up. Even when he knew she didn't have the same feelings back it made no difference. He had a total and complete surrender of his heart for her. You want to know if someone loves you? Put them in the "Forest" position. Want to know if you love someone? Put yourself in Forest's position and them in Jenny's. BINGO! You have your answer. Anything less, you are in some haze of lust. As for love, true love, just look at what Christopher and Donna Reeves had. Though he was paralyzed to the point he could not wipe his own a** or feed himself, she was there by his side, supporting and protecting him to the end. If that happend to the person you think you love and you would have cut and ran. No love, just a deep haze of lust.

Love is a condition or phenomenon of emotional primacy, or absolute value. Love generally includes an emotion of intense attraction to either another person, a place, or thing; and may also include the aspect of caring for or finding identification with those objects, including self-love. Love can describe an intense feeling of affection, an emotion or an emotional state. In ordinary use, it usually refers to interpersonal love, an experience usually felt by a person for another person. Love is commonly considered impossible to define.

The concept of love, however, is subject to debate. Some deny the existence of love. Others call it a recently invented abstraction, sometimes dating the "invention" to courtly Europe during or after the middle ages (though this is contradicted by the sizable body of ancient love poetry). Others maintain that love really exists, is not an abstraction, but is indefinable; being a quantity which is spiritual, metaphysical, or philosophical in nature. Some psychologists maintain that love is the action of lending one's "boundary" or "self esteem" to another. And others attempt to define love and apply the definition to everyday life.

(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
