We have an orange cat with nose and lip spots, in increasing quanities. The vet said that they are freckles and are normal, but to keep an eye on them: If any of them become raised take the cat to the vet for a look.

I looks like your cat had little spots on its nose. Its perfectly normal. My cat has two spots on her nose, one brown and one black. She's terribly cute though. :)

My white cat has two or three black freckles on her nose. That sounds like what you're seeing with yours.

You didn't mention if your cat has a white nose. If so, then he/she is susceptible to cancerous tumors due to the sun's raye's.

My vet suggested sunscreen.

what color is your cat? The spots may be due to pigmentation.
