Depending on what you need the money for, there are probably better options than a personal loan.

If you are going to buy a car, a car loan will offer you much better rates & terms. If you need money for school almost all student loans have better rates and terms than personal loans.

You may need a co because you don't make a whole lot of money. The 680 score might be a generic score. By generic I mean you probably don't have a whole lot of credit background but you have done reasonably well on what you have done.

Don't take out a loan for anything but a real estate purchase (and only that because it has a chance of apreaciating). Dont be like the people who have become hopelessly in debt.

You may need a cosigner. I got one for that amount when I was 20, my payment rate is approximately 175 a month. Good luck.

can you afford 175.00 per month ?? that's what your estimated payment would be on a 5000.00 at 8.25% for 36 months
