I have a few movies downloaded on my computer and would like to view them using the Power DVD software.However, i am unable to do so because as soon as i right click on the folder concerned....all i get is the option to play it with VLC media player which i do not want to.
How can i change the settings?

I am using Windows XP and there is no information as such on clicking on the properties option.Furthermore, i can not do it directly using the Power DVD software.

1. click your right mouse on the file
2. choose the program you want to use to open the file
3. check "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
4. then 'OK"

Right click on the movie file and choose Properties. There's a column which states 'Opens with' and beside it there's a tab Change. Click that

if u r using windows 98 ....there's sumthing need to be done but in other versions of windows after the 9...if u right click the file it shows the "open with" option.....just click it and gives the software u want to play with

Try clicking Open With... Then PowerDVD

Go to your properties and change the setting from there....
