There could be many possible reasons, but the favorite of all those I've read is that they were the serpants that didn't crawl on their belly before the fall, and after the fall all serpants that didn't crawl on their belly were killed. If you look, most dinosaurs walk with straight legs benieth them, either like cattle and horses or like us, but almost no reptiles do today.
What I actually believe is that they served a purpose at that point in creation, and once their purpose was concluded, he allowed them to die.

i think that this is a good time to point out that dinos weren't even mentioned in the Bible....it's like they skipped this whole eveolutionary period....i just don't understand...i believe in God, but the conventional God seems to have been re-worked so many times to fit what the believer's wanted that God is unrecognizable....God/The Maker created dinosaurs because it was thier time to exist...just as it is our time to exist...they walked this Earth and effected evolution in a way that we are effected by it even today...

Well clearly it was a mistake as they were such a chore to clean up after. However, it does show that God has a seance of humor because he turned them into oil and then gave the oil to the Arabs.

As a Christian you are taught to never question Gods plan. He did it for a reason and that's all you need to know. You were put on earth for a reason..do you know why?? You may never know but you pray and you strive to be all you can be and it is all a part of His plan. God Bless

Perhaps he didn't create dinosaurs. Perhaps it was another god who created dinosaurs, and "our" god came in wiped them out, and wiped out their god, and took over and created us. It's possible. The bible says "Thou shall not have no God before me"...so there are other gods right?
