When Mom goes to eat, pick up the egg and place it into the nesting box. Make sure to show the hen where her egg is, eventually she will get the idea that the nesting box is the place to have her eggs. It will come instinctivly to her.

Good luck

if you are having to move it then it didn't lay the egg in the nest box so this means to me that the egg is unfertilised unless you have got a male in there with it sometimes females will lay eggs just for the sake of it make sure you've got plenty of cuttle fish in there and watch out for her getting egg bound this can happen because the egg is to soft to lay this can be helped by holding the bird and using a Cotton bud with some baby oil and just gently massage the bum and if you haven't got a male in there get one , the question just pick it up and move it with your hands . hope i have helped , "B"
