you shouldn't have put butter on it. next time, just run cool water over the burn. ice can cause more damage to the tissue. try not to rub the burn. i would put a light bandage over it.

Butter on a burn is the worst thing to do, think about it you fry food in oil and all butter is made up of is oil, butter only keeps heat in and makes the burn worse. The first thing to do is put it under cool water then use ice or cold pacl on for 20 minutes then off for a 1/2 hour until it cools down DO NOT use lotions or creams unless they are specially made for burns. Aloe Vera may help but it will remain red and painful for a few days, the best thing to do is keep it clean and covered. If the burn covers a large area or you have blisters see a doc as they have prescription burn cream that helps a lot.

These days doctors say not to put butter on a burn. Aloe Vera is good, but you want to make sure you get the kind that doesn't have alcohol in it. The alcohol will irritate it even more. Sometimes you just have to leave them alone and let them get better. I did the same thing Friday and my burn doesn't hurt anymore. I can still see it, but there's no pain. I use to use Aloe Vera, but now for some reason I have an allergic reaction to it, so I just left my burn alone and it's been not quite three days and it's better.

First put ice on it. Then get the butter off and put aloe vera on it. If you have a plant, take a piece and split it open and place the gel side on the burn and bandage it there. If not, you can buy aloe vera gel sold for sunburn. Some of it even has an anesthetic mixed with it. That's about all you can do.

oThe best thing for a burn in to immerse in cold water. Keeping it in cold water for a few hours will prevent the burn from becoming to severe. As time has passed the burn will likely scar now and be more painful, but the cold water treatment is still the best way to relieve the pain. Do it now!!

Try this next time, after butter I can't guarantee results:
Make a small hole to an egg, pour the clear part of it only, and gently apply on the burned part.
Done !
No marks, no pain, ultra cheap.
