Why don't you do the vacuuming if you think she kills them!
I don't see a piano tied to your leg, get off your bum and do it yourself!

Honey, your wife isn't killing the vacuums. Unfortunately, vacuums are meant for life like marriage. Most people purchase 1-2 vacuums per year. Count yourself lucky, you are only averaging 1.something a year!

Well in my experience they don't make good cheap vacuums. If you buy the cheaper version you have to baby them. Keep string and hair cut off the beater bar and don't vacuum anything big up. I have bought 100.00 vacuum and it lasted me not even a yr. So I buy the cheepi and use it wisely.

You need to take over the vacuum cleaning duties until your wife can be sent on an appropriate training course.

Maybe you should get a cleaner and she if she can do any better. It must work out cheaper than buying a vacuum every 10 months.

Yes I have the same prob. perhaps your wife has a lot of electricity coming off her like static that interferes with the hoover. I suggest you take over the hoovering.

Some people have that effect on electrical equipment.
Up until I turned 30 I killed watches. I hope I do not kill the one I have now, it belonged to my dad.

Because she makes you do all the bloody hoovering mate to get you out the way think?? do the rooms! done them, well do them again while she is drinking coffee
no because she leaves it on while picking things up flat still on the floor and it gets hot and tired and wears out faster try a cylinder (Henry it cant be left flat on the floor so doesn't over heat does that make sense
