I have found out my ex girlfriend has been forwarding emails I have sent her to her friends and our mutual friends. I treated her the best I could of and this betrayal has really, really hurt to the point it has made me feel sick with disgust.

I do not know what to do about this. Any ideas?

E-mail all your friends, her friends and mutual friends explaining how you feel and how low she has sunk to demean you by publicising personal e-mails.
Explain that you don't want her ostracised in any way and if anything the girl should be pitied for being so spiteful.
Do not sink to the same level and you will always have the moral high ground.

Poor you - she has treated you really badly. I firmly believe that what goes around comes around - in other words, someone will treat her badly at some point in the future. If I were you I would take the higher ground and completely ignore her. You are a far better person than she is. If she did this to you, what's to stop her from treating her friends the same way?

First of all; don't make the mistake of trying to get even, her negligence is enough, and even though you are hurting and feel terrible about what she's done, it's up to you to be the responsible one in this situation! Tell her how this hurt you and what you send to her in E-mails are personal and you'd rather her to keep them private, ( JUST BETWEEN THE TWO OF YOU ). However, if this problem continues, tell her you need a girlfriend who is a little more appreciative about your feelings and if she doesn't soon show you the respect you deserve, you are going to have to find someone that will!

She's your ex, right? For some reason, you two split up, how long ago, I don't know, but it sounds to me that she's showing her hurt by turning on you. Only you and you're ex know the real reason why you two broke up, these forwarded e-mails are proof of her "maturity" of handling this breakup and after a bit of time, she'll move on. Hang in there, don't retaliate, use your energy for some thing good..!!

She's obviously hurting too otherwise she wouldnt be sending the emails. Understand that breaking up with someone means pain and hurt and upset. Just try to keep a cool head and the pain will ease in time.

Your girlfriend is cruel and selfish. She obviousely doesn't care about your feelings. If I were you I would know exactly what to do. You deserve so much better

just try to rise above it. what goes around will really come around. you could tell her that if she makes public anything derogatory about you in writing that it is libel and open to prosecution
