It never ceases to amaze me how quickly the liberals grab on to some new tidbit of information and act as if were obvious from the very beginning. What great “Monday Morning Quarterbacks” they are and how easily they are led by hatred of President Bush. They will believe anything negative. Now they are grabbing onto the words of a South American dictator.
The real terrorists perpetrated an unprovoked attacked on America on 9/11. Second guessing Clinton or Bush won’t bring back the nearly 3,000 Americans that died that day. But routing the terrrorists out of the holes they hide in might stop the next attack.

You can spell it anyway you like - the correct spelling requires Arabic letters. Most Americans can't even pronounce the name of the country right anyway.
The U.S. never had an endgame strategy worked out. Had they truly had an international coalition, perhaps they could have left a peacekeeping force that included many Arab Muslims. Maybe that would have made some difference. Maybe not.
But Instead, it is the Americans, the conquerors, that are still occupying Iraq. Statistically, nearly every Iraqi has an extended family member who was killed or seriously wounded by U.S. forces. Forget about Ideology for a minute: the desire to avenge the death of a loved one can be powerful motivation to become an insurgent. After years of occupation and resentment, the nation becomes a fertile ground for resistance recruitment.
I am appalled at the comparison of the war in Iraq to the US Civil Rights movement. During the Civil Rights movement, the federal government didn't carpet bomb the south for ten years, killing untold thousands, and destroying both military and civilian infrastructure, while starving the people of the south through sanctions. The federal government didn't claim the south was becoming a threat and send a mighty invasion force, killing more people and almost completely destroying any remaining civilian infrastructure.
But the U.S. did do these things to Iraq and its people.
Further, I am outraged by a comparison that likens the war in Iraq to the US Civil Rights movement led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and others. Recall that Dr. King "...spoke out strongly against the US's role in the Vietnam war, insisting that the US was in Vietnam 'to occupy it as an American colony' and calling the US government 'the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today.'"
The U.S. must find an alternative to the continued occupation of Iraq. Here are my notes for Rove: Find a catchy phrase for withdrawal, like "Democracy with Honor" or "Democracy Accomplished", and hang a banner behind Pres. Bush for a photo op. Plan photo op and statement to occur the weekend before the election next month. It could happen.
"Are George Bush and his administration the true terrorists?" The answer to this question is largely dependent on whether you live in the US, or the rest of the world.

If you go back in History from the fall of the Byzantium Empire, to El Cid of Spain, to the Battle of Lepanto and other battles and wars between Muslims and Christians, these were instigated by Muslims, I'm sorry to say. The Crusades did not just happen without a justified reason.
Surely there were mistakes too, but the question is who really started it?, Isn't it their prophet who has twisted all the teachings of our Lord and also branded Him as the original infidel? Don't you realize all Christians and non
Muslims are infidels to Muslims that should be destroyed if you do not join their religion. Most Christians are persecuted by Muslims whereever all over the world.
If you go to Saudi Arabia right now wearing a crucifix, or a Holy Rosary, most especially bring a Holy Bible, they will cut off your head literally? It is okay for them to build a mosque in front of St. Peter's Basillica in Rome, but you can't even wear a crucifix when you step inside Saudi Arabia.

Depends on how you look at what is going on , I saw this quote this morning and I feel it sums it all up...
"Let's turn the clock back a generation or so, to the beginning of the civil rights movement. Just a quick question for you. What if the New York Times ran a headline which read: "Civil Rights Movement Said to Worsen Threat of Racism." The article tells you "Efforts by the Justice Department to end racial discrimination in the South has helped spawn a new wave of racial animosity." You read further and discover that recruitment of members into the Ku Klux Klan has increased since the federal government stepped up its efforts to bring the vote to Southern blacks.
Tell me .. .would it be time to pull back and let the racists and bigots just have their way? Or would our determination to go forward with the civil rights struggle merely be strengthened?"
I say go forward and stop these radicals....

The weakness we show our enemy daily in the media is what encourages and spreads more terrorism. Bin Laden said it in 1996, 1998, 2003, 2005. Bin laden wants to defeat us in Iraq. That is why he is investing in the deaths of thousands of followers. He uses our own media to recruit by showing we are almost ready to surrender and leave just as he said we would. He said we will defeat America because they are weak and "can`t take the deaths of a few soldiers." "They will run away and the whole world will be an open field for us."
We will not lose this war on terror in Iraq. We will lose it right here in America. Bin Laden will have been right and the whole world will be an open field for him and his followers.

You're kidding right?
First to correct the brainwashing the propagandists have done.
We are not an occupying force in Iraq. We are training and providing assistance and humanitarian aid. When the country is able to defend itself we will leave. That is referred to as winning, anything else is called LOSING.
Secondly we are fighting terrorism on multiple fronts. Terrorists are not a state and therefore are not contained to one place.
Why do you hate your country, spreading lies like this?

Sure it is. No question Sadam Hussein is a really bad guy but he had nothing to do with 9/11, The enemy knows this and uses it against us to spread their cancer over the world. The biggest coup that Bush and company could have and should have done is bringhome OSsms benLaden's head on a silver platter. HE IS THE ENEMY of the USA snf the free world.

There is a strong possibility that the actions in Iraq are drawing terrorists from all other countries. The good thing about that is it will concentrate them all in one place where they can be destroyed in one blow.
Remember, when you talk about "Bush and His Administration" you are also talking about yourself. BAHA consists of the American people, which includes MOST Americans.
Unless, of course, if you are one of those Americans who is always blameless and works for his/her country by ALWAYS sitting on the sidelines doing nothing but finding fault with what the working gang is trying to do for you.
We have a lot of those people in our country. Some people call them "Wif-Wifs": noisy do-nothings who specialise in finding fault.

Absolutely. In fact, more than terrorist, George Bush is a dictator like each he condemned. How in the world would he impose a war when the entire planet opposed it? The US did not want to go to war, and he still went over everybody's heads.
Adding insult to injury, Johnny-Come-Lately told the oldest civilizations on Earth: "You're either with us, or against us."
But like Ted Kennedy said, "the war started in Texas." Daddy was fuming after Kuwait, and losing re-election
Get a clue! We are in it way over our heads now, worse than before, and his dictatorship has only taught how abusive our government can be

No, the Bush administration are not the true terrorists, but are sadly flawed in their reasoning.
This course of action by the Bush Administration adds fuel to the fire in an already volatile region of the world. Islamic extremists use this war as a recruiting point in their mission to spread their views. It helps them to get these duped people into their terrorist organizations.
It is very difficult to fight wrong ideas planted by zealots. To them, America is doing every bad thing their leaders tell them is happening. They see us as occupiers, and we are. As long as we occupy the area, we will be seen as oppressors by the zealots. As long as the current "plan" is in action there, there will be young people from Islamic areas lined up to blow themselves to bits to fight what they see as "American Imperialism".
It is imperative that we leave Iraq within a specified time frame. If one is not set we will be mired in this no win situation for quite some time to come. Then we need to keep our noses out of the domestic business of other sovereign nations unless it directly impacts us, as in Afghanistan.
