your cosemtology license covers nail, but you will need a managers license and a business license. check with your local city offices to get the complete detail of what you need to do. also, you will need to be inspected by the state and you will have to apply for a salon license.

In California, if you combine the two, you could open a shop. Meaning that you have to have a shop that not only does the nails, but it also does the hair. But remember that your nail staff have to have nail license.
