I don't feed my dog people food and he's on vet. food. I know that the breed is more prone to farting but it's getiing gross. Please help! He really stinks!

try feeding him cookies that have charcol and or mint in them. they help with digestion and ease the farting. There are some great brands at walmart or your local petstore. I use a brand called breath ease. It helps to freshen their breath as well as freshen their other end!

Just because the food came from the vet does not mean it is the right food for your individual dog. There are many high quality foods out there, none of which come from the vet's office. If your dog has chronic gas, his diet needs to be adjusted.

i have a 5 year old boxer, and we have the same problem. it was really bad when he was eating cheap dog food, then we put him on science diet, and it helped, just a little, but from everyone i have talked to including the vet, the nasty smelly loud farts, are just something you have to deal with when you buy that certain breed of dog. mine gets way worse at night time'!!!!

Feed him a low fat dog food, they do make them.

Grab a can of Febreze and good luck! I don't think there's much more you can do.
