Burgundy as in purplish-red? If you want to go with a punk look try colors by Manic Panic. (link is below)

If you want to try something a lot more subtle, go with a semi-permanent color. Feria makes a lot of great colors. I'd recommend trying Feria #42 "Deep Currant". You can also try Clairol's new Glazing. These are very cool and they come in very sassy colors.

If you'd like to get it done in a salon, I'd go with Shades by Redken. It's almost like a conditioning treatment -- your hair feels better after coloring. Your stylist will be able to get you to the color you want.

Remember, since your hair is fairly dark, you may have to lighten your hair to get it to the color you want. I'd try the Feria color first before you do try to lighten your hair.

Good luck!

DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME!!! you will be disappointed with the outcome. In a salon, an RV would be used, which is red-violet. For best results, go to a salon. they will have color swatches to choose from. you can choose the exact color you want. based upon that, the stylist can mix up the right formula for the color you want.also, if you already have color in your hair, be sure you tell her that. that can make a difference in the formula.
