Couldn't there be an athiest section in the Q&A? because people are constantly going against Christianity and every other religon and it is so offensive. If you don't believe in God why can't you stay away from 'Religon and Spirituality?'

See how mean and judgmental you people are without God. You people are so quick to go against things they don't understand.

I noticed that it goes both ways.
A christian asks for a simple Bible verse, and the atheist says it's all full of crap anyway.
An atheist asks for a scientific answer, and gets a christian telling them they're going to hell and totally deluded.
A buddhist asks about how important creation theories are to others, and everybody attacks them.
NOBODY will give in and people love to tell others how they should live their own lives.
It's sad really....

It's the "Religion & Spirituality" section, not the "Christianity" section. And even if it WAS the Christianity section, that doesn't mean that we'd only be allowed to post questions in favor of Christianity. You're allowed to go into the Baseball section and talk about how much you don't like baseball... if you have legitimate reasons, of course.

But back to what this group is actually called: Again, it's Religion & Spirituality. The latter, Spirituality, often doesn't involve religion at all. You can be a spiritual person and totally reject the Bible. And those people are allowed in here, too. Why shouldn't they be?

Don't let it get you down--there are many offenses towards the Holy Spirit (that which brings the spiritual before the natural)--your faith cannot be taken by opposing views nor can their unwillingness or inability to believe diminish the fact that God does indeed exist--remember free will is exactly that--and patience and long suffering towards others are holy characteristics that bring about a better world. Observe, believe, and do the Word of God and you will be alright--peace

I never understood why the hell people are going against people who believe in God. I'm just wondering who the **** put them on this planet, and not on mars on venus, or some freakin' planet where there is no oxygen for them to actually breathe and critizise people who believe in a higher power It's only logical for people to believe that there is a higher power, because the big bang theory and the mathematically ordered cosmos concept does not work for everybody. People just need proof of a creator, but he will never show himself, he will just keep them pondering when will the next 1,000 years comes so that they can mutate into other species through evolution.

Quite simply because the very reason they are here is to be offensive and to taunt and attack those who believe in god. Most of them are actually being controlled by spirits of strife and wrath. It is designed to get people arguing so that they are so busy fighting among themselves they forget the idea of God. It is also designed to fill this section with so many athiest taunts that there is no room for anyone to discuss God and learn anything.

However, having said this, there are some atheists who are not like this. Who are decent and are not controlled by devil spirits. To them I would like to say thank you for being respectful and to those who do not share your beliefs. May we all learn from each other despite our beliefs. After all, that is what this is. A learning forum.

They question their faith. They are "testing the water" to see if others feel the same.

Try as you might,, you cannot stop truth, intelligence and common sense from overriding fear, superstition and hate. You might take note: Atheists rarely try to "convert" anyone,, they just state their opinions. To most Christians Converting the masses is the main priority,,heck they even go door to door trying to force others to believe their ways.

When was the last time you saw two nineteen year old atheists in white shirts and ties spreading propaganda through your neighborhood? Mormons, Jehovah witnesses and countless others do this EVERY DAY all over the world.

Yet you attack any who question you,, and you call us mean and judgmental.

There we go, I was beginning to think I might not have to answer this question today. Atheists answer questions in the religion and spirituality section because they're interested in religion and spirituality. That's the same reason theists and agnostics answer questions here. There's no reason atheists should have to stay away.
I don't entirely know why people keep asking why people believe in God. Probably because they want to know, but you'd think they'd look for similar questions before asking it themselves. Perhaps it's the same reason people keep asking this question.

Dont you think Christians etc would read and 'butt in' to an atheist section if we had one??
The Christians are the most intrusive group on this whole forum, they poke their little angelic noses in everywhere.
When they stop doing that I will stop having a go at them!!
I am an atheist, I have never asked "Why do people believe in God"?
I know why they believe, they need a comforter, like a drug!!Thats OK as long as they keep their little fairy tales to themselves and dont try to convince me.

I do not know why people keep asking if people believe in G-d. But, then, 3/4 of the questions asked here are really idiotic. Ir would be nice if some intelligent and educated people started to ask real questions.

Whether they want to believe it or not, deep down they know that there is a greater force out there and they are searching for answers. Just like rebellious children they are going to be sarcastic and belittling until they can understand why we love God so much and why we can have blind faith.
Keep encouraging those who are lost....who knows when the Holy Spirit will be working through you and your answers!
