A father who has only one goal for his child. That the child learns to make good decisions at every point in the child's life. decisions that serve the child and brings the child happiness and understanding.

He who constantly reminds his child that she or he is eternally loved by his/her father. A father who does not expect his kids to look after Dad when Dad is old, but assumes responsiblity to stay physcially and financially healthy by eating and saving for his retirement. Anything else may cause the child to resent the parent as the child grows up. A true father will offer to the child the gift of a full and free life to his child. Lessening his hold of his child as the child grows but not in the love that he has for his child. A true father will not choose his child's spouse for him/her as the child should by now be able to do so. If the adult son/daughter has trouble doing this himself then, it reflects the lack of successful parenting. A true father earns the love, respect and admiration of his children and does not demand these from them. he will steward them with love into the world of his children and not expect them to mimic the father's passing world. In a world where mothers are often regarded as the absolute parent, a true father humbly supports his children as the unsung hero. While a mother can provide nuturing, a father stands as a tower of strength. To love such a father is such a joy and the chance to be the object of this man's love and sacrifice is among life' richest rewards.

Best father in the world is Jesus . Until a human can be like him there is no such thing as the best father in the world. A man can try to be the best dad but he is not perfect he will make mistakes and thats understandable.

Any man can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a dad. My oldest daughter's father hasn't had any contact with his daughter since she was 6 months old. She is now 18. We split up when she was 3 months old. After the custody hearing he was denied contact (by order of the judge and for reasons I won't get into), but that didn't happen until she was 18 months old. Even though he was allowed contact for the first 18 months of her life, her first Christmas came and went with no phone call, no card and no present. Same happened with her first birthday. He will always be her father, but he will never be her dad. I married a wonderful man when she was 5 and to her he is dad. He loves her, guides her and provides for her. He may not be her father but he is her dad.

Fatherhood and Motherhood are like any other profession.

Showing up is the most important part.

Learning the best way to handle the "job" (the kids an family) to get the best results.

Forecasting~ Like with any job, you need the simple plan 3,6,12 month plan and the Long term- 3,5,10, 12 year plan for both finances and fun! Trust me that two year "pep rally" wait for Disney land is just as exciting as the first step off the airplane.

Best wishes
