Ouija will put you in contact with any spirit nearby that is willing to talk. Sometimes it will know that, sometimes it won't.
A better way is to try a memory meditation. It will help you to remember that memory, because it is in there somewhere, you just cannot access it.
Ouija boards can be scary, but not dangerous. Spirits generally cannot harm, and generally have no wish to.
The spirits that would harm you, have no need for ouija boards, they are strong enough to do it without the bridge.
Good luck!

Completely safe, it's nothing more than a form of autowriting. You might try skipping the board and instead trying a technique called autotyping.
Sit down at your computer and open up your text editor of choice. Close your eyes and tilt your head to one side (I preference to the right because I'm right-body dominant). Begin to type whatever thought pops into your head. If you think, "Okay, I feel goofy about this," then type "Okay, I feel goofy about this." Do not worry about typos! As you continue to do this, you will start to feel a little dizzy or disoriented. Don't panic! Just keep going. After a while of doing this, stop and walk away -- Do NOT look at the text you've written until you've had a chance to regain your full awareness (that dizziness was you entering a state of self-hypnotic trance -- give your brain time to come all the way back up). Once you're comfortable and completely conscious, try reading the text to see if you recalled the information you're looking for.

You will not get an answer from a Ouija board about loosing a name and number. It is not an reference book it is a spirit board where by you can contact those who have passed. What you might get from the trying is an unhappy spirit that just wants to toy with you. They are not toys and should not be used for one. Divination is a serious matter.

You know, I've never had any luck at all with the Ouija board. I can't get the thing to move to save my life. I've known others who could do it, but I can't ever get it to work.
Is it safe? I think that "messages" given by the board are actually the effect of people moving the planchette subconsciously. It's safe, but I'd take whatever information you get with a big grain of salt.

Personally I don't like Ouija boards. Any old spirit that feels like coming around can contact you and not all of them are friendly. I'd leave the boards alone.

It is a stupid board game for children who are easily spooked. Anybody who actually believes that a game has 'powers' must also believe in something as ridiculous as the tooth fairy!

Only if you belive it will,...the power of suggestion is great, in Ouiji borads.
But that dont mean that there is no life after death as no body has come back to tell us............yet....maybe 'Joan Collins' can tell us...!
