he might be and he might also be just fooling around for his friends, looking for an old friend/ex-gf curious to see how they are, or just trying some stuffs in myspace.
the best way for you to find out is ask him and let him know his thoughts on this. but you know what, there are so many unreal people in myspace and if he's really looking for someone as you suspected, i doubt that is a very good alternative to do it.

Possibly he forgot to change it to say that he is not looking. Maybe he felt this way at one point in time and wrote it but forgot to erase it. This could have been a long time ago.
The only way you will know is from talking to him. Just mention that you saw it and ask him to tell you the truth. It's better to find out now so you are not worrying every day. If it's true then you will have to decide if it's worth it to stick with him and hope that he decides to stay with you or just move on.

No offense, but if it says he's looking for someone new..whether he has told you it's over or not it SHOULD be over...and YOU should be the one to end it. why would you want to be with someone who is going to do something like that? He is looking for someone else to replace you, while still being with you, so that just in case he can't find someone new, he's still got you to fall back on. I know that sounds harsh, but trust me sweetie, I've been there and done that way too many times.

It means that you need to talk with him about it. If he ask why are you getting into my stuff say that as his girlfriend you have the right and anybody can check it. If it is over make something of your own about looking for some else. Dump him first.

Hmmm. I would have to say YES! If he is looking for someone new, I don't really think he is interested in being with you anymore. As sad as it sounds, dump him!

Yes, confront him about what you saw and then announce the fact that you are leaving him. This is terrible. If he wants someone new, give him that opportunity by leaving him. If that's what he wants, that what he gets!!
