Yes, try to only use a little margarine (margarines better, but watch out for brands with hydrogentated oil) Also, try topping it with other toppings for a variety like, no sugar added fruit preserves, tomato sauce and a little parmesan cheese, all natural peanut butter, our blend some skim no sugar added yoghurt with a mango or frozen berries and spread THAT on your toast (yummy)Include some fruit with your breakfast so you get all the nutrients you need.

in moderation it can be healthy. wheat bread is fairly healthy, but you don't want to over do it ... butter will get you lots of arguments.. some say it's better for you than margarinee (did you know that margarin is the only thing people eat that flies and ants won't eat.. they may land on it.. but that's because they think it's ground, not food lol) butter has more nutrients.. but it also has more fat... in all honesty i figure butter to be a lot like eggs.. one year they will say don't eat it, the next they'll say eat it up! which comes back to my first statement... IN MODERATION.. water and oxygen are bad for you if you have too much of them, so take it easy on the bread and butter OK? :) also, that isn't a balanced diet.. make sure you are getting all the food your body needs.. a healthy diet is the way to go, not a limited one.

Wheat bread is considered a good, healthy food. Butter, on the other hand, was shown to be a contributor to the conditions which lead to heart disease in the early 1950's. These studies, which centered on Belgium, showed that when a population that reduced it's consumption of dairy products, it's incidence of heart disease and heart attacks decreased. Unfortunately, margarine, because of its partially hydrogenated vegetable oil is the same as butter in this respect.

It depends on your age, your weight and many other factors. The benefit I see is that you are choosing to eat wheat bread instead of white bread. It is always better to eat whole grains. You can also eat rice cakes, which come in many flavors (apple, carmel, butter flavor, chocolate) However, there is no protein and butter is pure fat. It would be better to substitute the butter for natural peanut butter (or apple butter). This will provide you with 16 grams of protein and will keep you satisfied much longer until your next meal.

wheat bread is better than white, not as much nutrient processed out of the flour. Whole grain bread is much better still because of all the good fibre.
Butter is deadly tho. You may as well inject it into your viens as that is where butter will end up, clogging your arteries. Suggest heartsmart spread as an alternative to butter.

no.. you should aim for a less proccessed bread, such as whole grain, wheat etc... Butter is fine within certain quantities... and it soo good.. all melted... on toast.. :-)

No, you are combining a high-carb food with a high-fat food, the worst possible combination.
