If not, then why should I bother?

Yes I would become a Christian, right now, if you could prove the existence of God. It would serve me to do so.

The mindset of theists is typified by one answer you got:

"Prove it...and I'll still believe in God."

Such blatant, self-confessed irrationality would be laughable if it weren't so sad.

No, I think most religious people will continue to be religious whatever you say - The only way to achieve major change is to educate the younger generation who are still open to alternative worldviews.

How can you prove there is no God? What if I could prove to you there is a God? Would you agree to become christian?

Wouldn't do it, but I'm not worried. You can't prove there is no God, because there IS a God. Jehovah - Alpha and Omega, is, was and always will be.
The great deceiver (Satan) can make you think there is no God, even give you some "evidence", but he's fooling you. He's trying to win you over to him - to trick you into denying the existence of God and keep you from accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior and Redeemer.
Don't be deceived. Open your eyes and your heart to the One who truly loves you.

I wouldn't Because Atheism Means "No God" And I am a Christian and belive in Christ and you may try to prove me wrong but the chances of things just coming together and being placed in exact locations is 1/500,000,000,000,000 of a chance to be placed in an exact location where its not to cold ( far away from the sun) and not to hot (to close to the sun) its just right. There is no way it happend by chance. Einstein once said that "God does not play dice" which means that he doesn't risk anything because he loves us. So you think about what i just said and now try to proove me wrong. yep didn't think so. I am Crusified with Christ. I am a Jesus Freak People may laugh and point but you can't stop my love for him.

It is impossible to prove there is no God. What can the proof be based on? We can't see God? No, that won't work, we also can't see air, but that exists. We can't hear God? Sorry, won't work again, flowers all make sounds, yet we can't hear them and they exist. We can't feel God? We also can't feel microscopic organisms, yet they exist. I will just ask one thing. If Atheists don't believe in God, who do they believe in? I have always been curious about that.

You still have to get past the obstacle, that most people "want" to believe.

That's why they throw up such ridiculous defenses in the face of logic. Even if you proved there was no god, many people would simply run away from you, or make up excuses why your evidence is falsified, etc.

That's the difference between your typical atheist, and your typical believer. Believers want to believe in something, whether it's true or not. Atheists just want to know the truth, no matter how ugly it might be.

For proving some thing does not exist, you have to prove it does not exist at all places and at all times.
To prove something exists, you have to just prove it exists at one place or at one time.

Hence though devotees of God have chance of proving God exists, you will never be able to prove that he does not, as you are limited in place and time :)

I have seen my wife with her atheism and her hatred of organized religion.

Even if you could "prove" there is no God, I remain strong in my faith.

As I have risen to the defense of atheists from those who feel that atheists are "wrong" in their non-belief, I would request that you refrain from trying to prove that those who have faith are just as "wrong".
