My mom makes a recipe called Goup. I'm not quite sure how she makes it, but it has rice, sausage, hamburger, tomatoes, and mashed potatoes in it (I think lol)....is very warm and yummy...will have to get the recipe from her one of these days, was thinking of it the other night actually...thanks for the reminder! =)

A bowl of hot soup. Plus steamboat style food serving and having the whole family around to share the warm and tasty treat.

Really rich spaghetti bolognaise - strong salty tomato sauce over fresh pasta (not the dried stuff) and sprinkled with parmesan or garlic roast lamb with new potatoes, carrots, cabbage and rich gravy or I have to agree with an earlier answer - homemade lasagne - delicious.

Garlic mashed taters, and stuffing. Maybe pea soup or a chowder.
When I'm sick I like Spaghettio's with meatballs.
