How did you figure it out? Have you spent a lot of time with him? Do you engage in the same hobbies? Do you read the same books?
Yes, it does matter. I've been with a lot of blk guys, and they think it is a real feather in their cap to bag a white chick and they are great in bed. He will be really nice to you. The sex will be fantastic! Eventually, he will want to show off and share you with his friends. It can be a lot of fun, if your into that. The down side is he will have a deep-seated resentment against you and you get beaten. As far as blk men go, O.J. was a prince. But you will keep going back for that great sex. I do.

You said you like him - so when did you figure you love him? Honestly, if you loved him - you wouldn't be asking strangers what you should do. The fact that you feel weird tells me that you are a bit racial and you are more worried about what your white friends and family will say. He's a man - stop prefacing him with the fact that he is black! What does it matter? If you date an white guy do you tell people, "I like a white dude?"
Come on, now - what's your motivation??

You have already assessed that your racial difference will affect your relationship, so its best to make sure you want to go through that stress before you take a bite out of THIS cake.
Be prepared for callous slurs made in your direction on the street. If you can't handle that, don't go any further. If your love is able to stand up to the rudeness and smallness of other people, then go right ahead.

If you're not bothered by his colour, then I see no reason why you shouldn't try to have a relationship with him. It will only be uncomfortable for you if one of your family or close friends is racist and do their best to either put you off him or to be very antagonist towards him (or you or both)
As long as you are prepared for any kind of negative response, I wish you luck in being with this guy ... have fun together and stick a finger or two up to anyone who doesn't like it!

Yeah, but has he figured out that he likes you? It takes "two to tango", as they say. Do you know this guy? Maybe HE"S a racist.
Other than that, colour shouldn't matter!
