Because the truth has finally come out about the war. We were lied to in order to take America to war in Iraq. We were led to believe that Iraq had something to do with the attack on New York on 9-11-2001. We were led to believe that America was in immediate danger of being attacked by Iraq with weopons of mass destruction. We were told that they could attack us within minutes. All of this has been proven a lie, and those who told Bush about this either had their CIA covers blown, or were fired from their jobs for telling the truth. This country even threw the United Nations inspectors out of Iraq so we could commit "Shock & Awe" on all those poor Iraqi civilians, and media outlets. We now know that Anerica is a much less safe country since we have so many enemies in the world and since our National Guards have been sent to the front lines. We now use illegal weoponry like cluster bombs that look like an ordinary soda cans, and the poor Iraqi children pick up a can and get blown to smitherenes.

This war has turned into something really diabolical. Our military has been caught using torture, raping women, enslaving children and making enemies out of 97% of the global communities.

We have finally found out that this is the dirtiest war that America has ever been involved in.

They write the questions for the polls to be intentionally confusing so that you will give the answer they want. Don't be tricked by polls, statistics or studies. We see in the paper every single day where drugs are recalled, decisions overturned, and different tougher standards set as industry takes advantage of even the slightest loophole. The fact that they claim 63% are against war is telling in itself. No One, Not Even the Soldier, likes war. If this question was asked correctly, it would not be political, but human and the answer would be almost 100% against war. War - not the war in Iraq. And let's not forget that after 9/11 it was the public and not the politicians that demanded Bush to give the command to invade Iraq. He warned it would be a long long time and stated he could not guarantee anything. That included the intelligence that led to the "picking" of Iraq to invade. We cannot deny the fact that we got what we demanded and now deserve. Now we must Live with it. We are not in charge but were consulted on this one and the vote in "Con"gress was almost unanimous. Then they all pull out the second face and lay blame with you lied about intelligence. He did not lie, he relied on the best intelligence he had at the time. The liars are the two faces who don't have the guts to stay the course. These are in most cases the very men who created that fiasco of a pull out from Vietnam. Bush may not be the best, but he is the best alternative we have right now. He is brutally honest with everyone in the world and will not waiver no matter which two face says what. That is the true defination of a leader. He honestly stays the course and will not be waylayed no matter what. To do less would leave us with the Vietnamization of Iraq.

Because the purpose of the war in Iraq was to get Bush elected for a second term ... he wasn't elected the first time. That was a bad mistake for this country and it has made our country less safe and hated by almost everyone in the world. The reason only 63% of Americans are against the war is that about 50% of Americans are functionally illiterate and some of the others are too rich or too dumb to realize that if our country goes down, we all go down together. The real strength of any nation is the people. We are falling behind many other nations in education and innovation. There should be no welfare without work and education.

Historically, Americans don't like long conflicts, especially those with little hope of winning. There is no exit policy that we know of, or that the administration is willing to talk about. We now see that our troops will be over there far longer than anticipated; many of our national guardsmen are over there pulling long, long, stints instead of being the weekend warriors they signed up for; the death toll continues to rise. This has been a very costly conflict in terms of life and money, and the only ones seeming to benefit are business cronies of the administration like Halliburton.

Three years ago we believed the lies. Three years ago we were convinced by pretty graphics at the UN that there were chemical weapons. Three years ago we were told there was a link between Iraq and Al Quaeda. Three years later we learn none of that was true, there were no WMD, and Saddam hated Al Quaeda. And in all this time, there's been little word on the search for Bin Laden; even Bush was quoted as saying he didn't care about Bin Laden anymore.

A lot can happen in three years. We'll see in November if the public opinion against the Iraq war turns against the controlling Republican party.

Americans have been deceived, lied to, and brainwashed into believing that - somehow - illegally and unconstitutionally invading Iraq would capture the 'terrorists' who blew up the World Trade Center's twin towers and the Pentagon on 9-11. Iraq had not threatened, provoked, or attacked the U.S.A. But Bush's handlers used the 9-11 attacks as an excuse to invade Iraq for two lame reasons: 1) The Bush family's ongoing vendetta against Hussein ever since Desert Storm; and 2) Cheney's coveting all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands.
The war has killed 41,000 Iraqis and 3,000 American soldiers for naught. This is an evil, immoral, unethical war being staged by evil, immoral, unethical people that occupy the White House and the Capitol Building. If they were really interested in bringing democracy to Iraq, there were diplomatic channels available. If they want to really spread democracy throughout the world, why aren't we invading other dictatorships ruled by demonic despots? Because those dictatorships have no easily accessible OIL!
If Bush really believe we'll be out of Iraq by 2009, why are we building the largest embassy in the world in downtown Baghdad with its own power plant, swimming pools, apartments, car repair shops, retail stores, and office complexes?
PREDICTION: We will NOT withdraw troops from Iraq until Cheney has a rock-solid arrangement in place with the new Iraqi government (which he installed) to acquire all of Iraq's OIL.
PREDICTION: We will invade Iran before spring, 2007 for the very same reason we invaded Iraq: all those rich fields of easily-accessible OIL!
Even the conservative ditto heads are beginning to wake up and realize that this so-called war is not about fighting terrorism. It's all about money and OIL, which is what Bush and Cheney want so they and their friends can get richer and dominate the world.
It took most gullible Americans three years to wake up and smell the coffee...and they're just now beginning to realize that the smell is actually the Republican party's avarice, hubris, incompetence, corruption, and wickedness that has created a huge cesspool or hatred and bigotry throughout the world, and that will almost certainly escalate the divisions between "our" people and those of different faiths, cultures, idealism, and dreams.
America has turned into a bully - indeed, the world's most dangerous 'evil empire' - one that is now so feared that other countries believe nuclear weapons of mass destruction might be their only defense against the bully Bush. -RKO-

Because, they all go with what everyone else is thinking, just like Vietnam. Damn hippies want an excuse to do whatever the hell they want without reading what is really going on!
Everyone thinks that if we pull out of Iraq, everything is going to be OK? We should just let the Iraqis build their weapons to take over the world and convert everyone to the Muslim religion.....right? This war is NOT about oil. It is about freedom and everything that goes along with it. Those people want us dead! When are the bleeding hearts going to realize this?
I think those 63% (or whatever the number really is) should go take a vacation in Iraq, let us know how the weather is.

Dammit ... the place did I pass away my weapons of mass destruction this morning ???? Sorry ... your question. Holy Cow !!! Haliburton's share cost quadrupled for the period of 2002. How do you like your inventory thoughts now, Dick? Sorry ... your question. WTF !!! It grew to become into Saudi's that flew into the commerce center Towers. Saudi @ssholes !!! Sorry ... decrease back to the question. Wait a minute - the B2 bomber has aspects made in all 50 states - that way congress won't decrease this methodology !!! rattling - them fellas particular are clever. ok ... decrease back to the question. while the president LIES to the ordinary public with reference to the justifications for going to conflict, while a large militia-commercial complicated compells a rustic to combat (see President Eisenhouser), then people get disenchanted. Now, the reason individuals are actually not as disenchanted as in the process the Viet-nam conflict is that no draft has yet got here approximately. Throw interior the draft with a lottery determination technique (as in Vietnam) - and that could be the tip of this conflict. that is this form of bloody kick-in-the-tooth to the mind-blowing people of the militia ... to be so below-valued by making use of their own government. people help the militia ... that's the liars in government that are disliked.

Because more people are realizing this was an illegal action on the part of the President. He acted against the suggestion of Congress. President can't do anything without the approval of Congress.

I'm personally against the war because it's just a bad idea. I would rather the guys and girls in the armed forces were back with their families and alive, but then again, I'm wierd.

The reason most of them are is because they don't understand what we are fighting for and they don't care, most people always have to find something to complain about and how much you wanna bet that the people that somewhat support the war are armerican soldiers, like me but i support the war completly!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

Bush had the complete support of the Ameircan public when he invaded Afghanistan in 2001. Then he let Osama escape at Tora Bora. Everything began to change at that moment. Bush had the gall to invade Iraq and forgot all about Osama. It's been nothing but a quagmire since then.
