I can't speak for everyone, but personally, I believe.

Nope. Why should I? There's no evidence for a deity, let alone proof, let alone for any one particular incarnation of deity such as Brahman or YHVH or any of the other gods man has believed in throughout history.
And why do people like to mention that 85% of Americans do, or some X billion or Y zillion people believe in this god or that god?
If every human being on the planet believed sincerely that 2+2=5, would they suddenly be right? NO! Truth is not subject to a popular election.

This question is very abstract.
People all around the world believe in thier own God. I suppose it is the same God. Yea, I think you may say today's people believe in God.
As always there are people who don't.
Though personnally I have not really embraced any religion but opened to Christianity, Islam , Taoism, and Buddhism. Still searching everyday for an answer though.

Comprehensive studies are conducted regularly which indicate over 85% of our population do believe in God (as in the one true God.) (The last ones I read were in Readers Digest and the Sunday paper.) Our country was founded on that belief. (Check the moneys' inscriptions.)

I BELIEVE!
Once you believe and God opens your eyes of your heart, then you understand. It's hard to explain to a non-believer...you have to experience God's love for yourself...noone else can do it for you.
