My boyfriend has went to jail for about 5 yrs. I'm really lonely. I'm having a hard time finding someone to be my friend. When he was on the streets I had a lot of male friends that I snuck around with now that he is gone and I am free I can't find anyone that I would like to be my friend. Why? The guys that try to talk to me I'm not feeling. It's been a year I want a friend. I am young and still have to live my life.

You are not getting to the right places to meet the right people.
Try sports - swimming - athletics etc. you should meet many people who would like to be your friend.

Boyfriend in jail? Not good. Get out and meet some other people. Join a club or gym or church. Get away from guys who hang out on the streets.....what kind of life is that? Get on with your life and make a change for the better. You have your whole life ahead of you....live right and live good and live long....start over....please.

Try some dating site.
Yet still people you feel attracted to, do not wait for them to approach you, you can also make the first attempt by talking or approaching them.
Try joining a group or a fun club were you can meet new people and make friend with them

It sounds like you need to get a new boyfriend not just a friend.That is the way it is when you got a man all kind of guys want you but when you single it's like that go in hiding. Sounds like you may want to rethink the dating thing & go after a guy that is opposite of what you usually like. Don't get caught up for your own sake.

What happened with your old friends....sometimes it is hard to make friends especcially if the know what happened to you and your boyfriend....it will be good if you start doing an activity like going to the gym or start going to a club...tnings like that or begin to reconect your old friends.!!!
