LOL ask them which eye, they will appreciate your honesty, and will tell you the truth in order to have a sincere conversation with you. this person, or these people have to deal with their "lazy eye" all day everyday, so I am sure it is not uncommon to get asked that question. personally, i know from experience that you look into the eye that is looking into your eye, if the other one is facing west, and one is staring directly at you, it's probably safe to look in the one staring directly at you, which is what i do, cause i know people with lazy eyes.

Do not try so hard to look at one eye or the other. You may wind up appearing to stare. You may try just focusing on the region between the eyes or quickly find the eye with which you can make eye contact.

you can never be sure which is the lazy eye. i would recommend looking at them right between the eyes, then they can't tell which eye you are focusing on.

the one looking at you, it doesn't matter if thats the good one or not you have a 50/50 chance of being right. if you're right, you're being respectful and looking them in the eye. if you're wrong, you may disrespect them by looking at their lazy eye

look at the point just between their eyes, they think you are looking them in the eye but your not. Good trick for stare-outs and job interviews.
