hi, i have managed to format my new 128mb sony duo memory stick (2 of) using mt laptop but when i put either one in my sony s700i mobile a screen message reads "memory stick error" the cards are the same spec as the 32mb i use, when i insert the original caed NO PROBLEMS, many thanks.

reformat it and use FAT (not fat32) and avoid quick format.. have you tried formatting it on the mobile......

reformat it and make sure you have it set to "FAT32" when you format it, should work i had the same problem with my cybershot

I had that problem...never solved it...brought a new stick.
