Hypothetically speaking let say I was your man and I just got back for a year at war in Iraq what would you do for my first night home?

I would make the first night very chilled out and play it by ear.
He and you may feel all sorts of emotions - he may be traumatised by the war. You will both have been waiting for this night for a long time.
Maybe say that you can do what ever he wants. If he wants a quite night stay in have some dinner catch up, maybe watch a video, unless its going extra well and you want to skip that and go straight to the bedroom.
I am not in the same situation as you but i do have a long distance boyfriend and it can be several months between visits sometimes. The first visit after 6 months whilst good takes a little readjustment - just to settle in. Its not a bad thing you just have to allow a little time to click back together and get to know each other again. Usually within to 48 hours its like we have never been apart.

hmm...well if hypothetically you were my husband and you just got home I would probably just come out and ask what the one thing was you missed most doing together and do that. I'd get dressed up for you and since I'm clingly I would hug and kiss you a lot and just smile and laugh being so happy you're back with me. I'd want to tell you a million things I missed us doing but I wouldn't. Hmm...I guess my answer is to just come out and ask you what you wanted and I'd do that. Maybe after the first night I'd share with you a few new fantasies I thought up...

I dont know about you but a year gone would really make me miss you in more ways than one. I would of course set up a message for you, cook some thing you have not had that you love, fill you in on what you have been missing, oh and put something nice on for ya and make sure I keep you next to me the whole night nice and warm and comfortable. Oh and did I mention make love to you all nigth. Welcome back...

I would make you a big lasagna meal, and then I would jump into a long hot bath with you and pop open some champagne and pour it all over your body and drink up every single drop. I would go down for a while and then have my way with you.

i know when my husband got back we spent some "us" time together, went out to a very nice restaurant in the gas lamp district of San Deigo, his favorite restaurant, and I bought him a beer. Most of the rest of his "home coming" time was spent with his Marines reflecting on the men they lost in Iraq and celebrating their making it home.
