well since the last few months i'm noticing that my teeth are turning yellowish...i brush my teeth regularly and i dont smoke as well.....i am planning to see a dentist but i fear that will be painful as he wil come up with lots of defects in my teeth...so before seeing a doc i want to find a solution myself...is there any home remedy or someone even told me it happens because of lack of calcium..is that so?

If you have a lot of defects with your teeth then seeing a dentist is the best thing you can do. Why are you lusting after white teeth if your teeth are rotting out of your jaw? You may worry about short term pain (though these days medievil technics have long gone) yet you could end up in major long term pain and ugly rotting teeth if you do nothing for them.
You won't get another set and dentistry can do wonders these days. You are risking serious infection and possibly the loss of all your teeth and by not going to a dentist you will have more than yellowing teeth to worry about. Longer you leave it the worst.

Do you drink a lot of coffee or tea? It could be that.

And there are a wide variety of teeth-whitening products on the market right now. Just go to a drug store and you'll find them.

I'm not sure about the calcium thing. Lack of calcium will certainly weaken your teeth but I don't think it would cause them to turn yellow.

Then again, I'm not a dentist.

"Coming up with lots of defects" is called fraud. Over-treatment is called fraud. The dentist isn't going to risk having a fraud lawsuit on his hands. If you have not been taking care of your teeth, your gums may be tender, but it is not painful to get a cleaning done. It could be due to your teeth decalcifying, which has nothing to do with the amount of calcium you intake in your diet. Normally, decalcifcation is caused by coming down sick as an infant when your teeth are beginning to form.

Don't think it's calcium, usually it's due to food staining your teeth. Try this it whitens teeth instantly. Make a thick paste with baking soda and water, brush teeth with it vigorously, for at least 2 min. Rinse well, you should see instant results. I'm a smoker and coffee drinker and it works on me.

You can use baking soda or salt when you brush your teeth. That will help turn white again. Also try a different toothpaste. If all else fails go to the dentist before it is to late.

Go to the supermarket in the toothpaste aisle and get this stuff called Plus White- super cheap, and your teeth will be glowing in 2 weeks. You should still go to the dentist, but yellow teeth is not a sign of decay.

Hiya!
I had the same problem, my teeth became yellow. Some different foods can cause that probelm
For me it was Cranberry juice..!
It won't hurt, they will simply ask you what you eat or drink a lot, and that probably is the problem
I don't consume a lot of Cranberry juice, like I used to. So now my teeth arn't yellow!
Hope this reassures you

Well it might be a problem that a dentist can help you with but I suggest that you use Ultrabright toothbaste, it has whiteners and is just as good as regular toothpaste, it is supposed to be the best whitening toothpaste. If that doesn't work then I suggest that you go see a dentist.

Do you drink a lot of coffee or sweet, coloured drinks? Do you eat liquorice by any chance? Go over all the things you eat and drink and work out if anything could be causing it. Try a good whitening tooth paste like McLean's, it's not too abrasive.
