Sit down and talk with your mother, don't view it as a win/lose conversation but look upon it as an exhange of viewpoints discussion. Ask her to state what she doesn't like about your girlfriend and listen camly to the concerns she has. Don't get emotional over what she might say but listen openly. Don't make any decisions at the end of the conversation just say, "Thanks mom, I just wanted to know what you thought of my girlfriend" and then take some time to honestly evaluate her reasons. She may see some things that you are unable to see because of your attraction to the girl. If after talking with your mother and taking some time to reflect upon what she had to say you still feel she is wrong about your girlfriend go back to your mother, tell her that you have thought about her concerns, tell her what, if anything you do agree with her about and what you disagree with and why.

The most important thing is to always stay calm even if the other person is getting angry or emotional.

I have no idea of your age but I also would hope that the reason your mother is raising objections is that she is concerned for your wellbeing, loves you and doesn't want to see you hurt.

how old are you two? If younger than 18 then you're ok, just go with the flow. Don't worry wether or not you should be dating a person just because of what your parents think, because no matter what, you'll date people that your parents won't like. Live and learn, if your in a messed up relationship drop it, no matter what. If you don't, you'll learn next time.

first of all no-one can make you happy but you so do what makes you happy, you live for you not your mom.second just let your mom know that her not liking this girl or her not wanting you to see this girl is not gonna change the way you feel about her and that you still gonna see her

You don't. Usually if one or both parents don't like a person your dating it is for good reason. They can usually see where your relationship is going to end. Your mother just cares for you and doesn't want to see you get hurt in anyway.

Maybe your mom may feel your losing you as a son so be open tell her how you feel and tell her to give her a chance, maybe ask the reason she don't like her might be able to resolve it but always be honest and communicate.

sometimes mothers find it difficult to see their little boys grow up. Spend some time with her, show her that you are not leaving her but developing into the person you are to become and she is as important to you as she ever will be. If all that failsd realise that women can be strange and have fun.

Give it time. Are you your mother's only son? I think mothers look at sons like fathers look at daughters. No one is good enough for their baby. My son is only 6 and I dread the day he wants to date because I know none of those little tramps are good enough for my boy! (lol)
