Sometimes we all need to take a step back to reflect on what we've achieved, take a year out to reassess yourself and hopefully by then you'll be more relaxed and able to think clearly its only natural to feel exhausted theres so much academic pressure put on the young people to gain good grades but for who's benefit theirs or the college?

College isnt for everyone so you might want to consider a trade or vocational program instead. The fastest growing career is in health care and if you want something that will pay well and takes less time training you can be a CNA-8 weeks training, Medical Assistant-6-8 months training, Massage therapist-1 year, or Nursing(RN)-2 years, or LPN-1 year. If college isnt for you there's got to be a community college near your home you can go to and get a catalog and check out the career programs they have that you can train in without the grueling 4 years of college.

If you have put in 4 years towards a degree, diploma, certificate program already (not to mention the cost), wouldn't it be a shame not to finish it off? You might not go into the field, but it would show you are willing to finish what you start... If you wouldn't be throwing away four years, then I'd suggest a change.

A good friend came to me with this dilema in her last year of veterinary technology... I encouraged her to at least finish it off so she would have something to show for it. She hung in there and now she is running (supervising) an animal treatment center (after just 4 years) that gets wild and domestic animals... and is in her glory.

Drop college for a couple of years and concentrate on working.

You can go back to college at any time in the future. I stopped going to college when I was 18, worked full time for a few years, and then went back to college part time in my late 20's. On a couple of my courses there were a few people in their 40's, 50's and 60's.

You regularly hear about people in their 70's and 80's doing Open University Courses.
