Jager is a type of drink known as a Bitters. There are plenty of different bitters out there but each company keeps their ingredients a secret, so you could find something that tastes similar but not exactly like Jager. Since Jager is one of the most famous bitters of its flavor, I doubt you could find anything cheaper.

Short answer, no.

I have never heard of a generic or bar brand of Jager..... guess they want you to pay the money. I know a lot of people love Jagerbombs.....

Jager is one of those Licurish (not spelled right) tasting liquers. Sambuca, Galiano, or Absethe all have a licurish taste, but probably not exact.

Captain Morgan- Tattoo has a similar texture and taste, and is less expensive. You can also do "captain" bombs with it, and IMO its delicious.

Stick with the original. Something like that you don't want to mess with.
