don't LISTEN to what woman tells you. You have to SEE their body language. Actions speak louder than words.
If you were bit specific you probably would have got better answer. When you say "fancies him" do you mean some one you already know, or someoneyou just met in bar or somewhere?
If in bar then, she'll face you when talking to you, leans forward when you lean back, pupils dialate, occupy yourself with something and when you return and if she still there she is interested, starts a conversation with "so..." when you stop talking, pays you more attention than her friends (if you and her friend speak at the same time, see who she responds to first)....etc etc...
If someone you already know and suspect she fancies you, then its bit different and difficult. If she agrees to do something she wouldn't normally do e.g. if she in a chick flicks and you ask her to go see actions movie (with no emotional scenes whatsover) and she agrees, feels blushed when you touch her (i don't mean there, you dirty minded person...lol)...etc

Depends on whether the person is 1) a 'stranger' in a bar, or 2) your friend.
If 1), then she'd be glancing at you every now and then - women don't really look at people in the bar unless they're 'interesting' or 'weird' - you ask yourself which one is you. ;)
If 2), then trying to spend loads of time with you would be one telling way.

We get very girlish & smile & giggle & make an effort with you. But you had better be quick to notice .Quick & decisive action from the man is essential. Once the chance is lost it is difficult to regain.
