You go with it and take it as it comes. Because if your in a library most people sitting next to you Will no it's you. You could apologize and say I hate something bad for lunch or sorry I didn't mean to make you smell my sticky situation. But you may not get the date.

If you just farted and it's a sticky situation it means you just shat your pants.
My advice - Get up and back away until your out the door. then run away.
Don't go back to the library for a while, They will remember!

I swear to God this did happen to me, and the absolutely gorgeous woman smiled at me. It's a terrific icebreaker. I do recommend trying it.

Haha. I'd probably laugh, pardon myself, and try to make some witty comment like "See, my mom always told me that I had to learn to control that...she was right."
or, even better, turn to the guy/chick and say "Now that we know each other better, want to go grab a bit to eat?"
