God makes noone do anything. However, I have wondered if this is indeed a spiritual thing of high magnitude.
Perhaps one gets to a state where theY are ready to return to
their heavenly home. But the physical mind is dull, and the body
fearful. So the spirit spontaneously combusts to allow the spirit
to be free.
Some people cremate bodies because a spirit might be drawn back to the physical body. And I've recently learned that we
are supposed to evolve to a state of spiritual maturity where
we take our physical body with us when we return to spirit.
It is called translating, like Enoch, Elijah, Jesus and Muhammad
are said to have done.
Putting two and two together, (different areas of study). I
would say it has something to do with not feeding the destructive
aspects, (recycling aspects), of Creation.

Spontaneous combustion is only a popular phenomenon in the USA. Much like creationism, other countries understand the science of how it happens (it's equivalent to rendering pig fat in a controlled container -- the body becomes its own wick) and so have dismissed the absurdity of the original thought.
